Asked by Korrespondent, what kind of future, he sees for his business, Igor Surkis wrote: “I see it successful”. “What assets do you own?”, Korrespondent asked, and got the same grudging answer: “Broadcasting company TET – 24,999%, Football Club Dynamo (Kyiv) – 81, 141%”. But Surkis is that laconic only in the epistolary genre. He is a much better orator.

In November of last year, Korrespondent asked Surkis what prospects there were for the football premiere-league created in Ukraine. For example, how much the club can make by broadcasting the games. “Well, if it is Kyiv Dynamo, we are talking about from $100 to $150 thousand, with  a budget of $50-55 million, well, do you have anything else to talk about?” asked the president of a capital club.

As it turned out, Surkis had enough topics for conversation and he continued: “I will put it baldly – Dynamo (Kyiv) in our country is an absolutely unprofitable project which requires constant investments. And, this means it is not the business that lets you make money”. And here is another revelation by the millionaire taken from the same conversation: “I say, let’s pump up a premiere-league with money, according to the rating, who took the first, second, and third places, and then we’ll distribute this money the same way <.>. We want to make money, this is our foremost task”.  Investment company Dragon Capital gave a consoling estimate to Surkis. Surkis is very good at making money.
