It is hard to find a businessman more diverse than Petro Poroshenko. In exchange for money, his corporation Roshen generously pours Ukrainian, Russian and Lithuanian sweets lovers with chocolate. There are a total of six chocolate factories. Motor corporation Bohdan, which is a part of Ukrprominvest Group, is overflowing with money.
In 2007 the car sales of the company doubled, exceeding 4 billion UAH. But this is not enough for the businessman. This summer Poroshenko plans to start a new factory for manufacturing cars VAS -2110, VAS-2111 and Hyundai in Cherkassy. Production capacity of this enterprise is 120 thousand vehicles per year. Construction investments are over $250 million. Another $400 million, the businessman is going to invest into a motor car factory in Russia. It is hard to imagine how Poroshenko, who heads the supervisory board at the National bank of Ukraine, a people’s deputy, a co-owner of Leninska Kuznya ship-building factory and an owner of channel 5, manages to have enough time for all that. But on the other hand, what an enviable result: only during one year the assets of this multimillionaire doubled.
