Check out the winners of the 10th annual Best of Kyiv contest!

Dear Kyiv Post readers, we’re proud to offer you this special edition of the Kyiv Post with the 10th annual Best of Kyiv awards!

For a decade now, the Kyiv Post has given out awards to the people and businesses that make us proud to call this ancient and beautiful capital our home. The contest is one of the best traditions of this newspaper, which will celebrate its sweet 16th birthday this fall.

When it comes to the Best of Kyiv, we’re gratified when we see previous winners hang up their framed awards and articles in their establishments. It motivates use to search far and wide for the city’s brightest gems.

Winners 2010.

To mark this special anniversary, we decided to choose a person for a 10-Year Achievement Award. This prize will go to someone who has made lasting contributions. All the nominees, in our opinion, are deserving. The winner will join two others – Business Person of the Year and Spirit of Kyiv – as individual honorees. Each year, nominating people gives us so much optimism about Ukraine’s future because there are so many deserving people that it is hard to pick a winner.

We also bolstered the expert panel from 21 to 39 business and community leaders and are pleased that more than 1,000 additional online voters cast their ballots for the winners compared to last year.

We’re pleased that Clifford Chance law firm came on board again this year as Best of Kyiv’s general partner. Intercomp Global Services joined as our accounting partner, while Edinburg Business School as academic partner. InterContinental Hotel became our gracious host for the awards ceremony. Gala Radio’s DJ Pasha was master of ceremony and Oleh Skrypka with jazz band 'Zabava' headlined the entertainment. Artistic florist Kvitlyandia was our flower partner and Baltika 7 our beer partner.
