Agro-Industrial Law Threatens Ukraine’s Reforms

The first Kyiv Post print edition! The newspaper made its debut on Oct. 18, 1995, with 16 pages. The inaugural edition covers Ukraine's stifled privatization drive, especially in the agricultural sector. A Shakhtar soccer match in Donetsk stopped play after a bomb killed Alexander Bragin, or "Alik the Greek," a crime boss and club president on Oct. 15.
