OECD Office in Kyiv to Operate Provisionally Until 2026

President Zelensky thanked the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development for recognizing the prospect of Ukraine’s membership in the group.

The OECD-Ukraine Liaison office will function provisionally until 2026, it has been announced.

President Zelensky welcomed the move, inviting representatives of the organisation to “join the recovery process.” He added, “The opening of the OECD Office in Ukraine will be an important step in our cooperation…. Everything that is currently being done and planned in Ukraine is aimed at the victory and future reconstruction of Ukraine.”

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on February 28 that the OECD Ukraine programme could be signed as early as June 2023.
