Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine – for the third night in a row – using kamikaze drones and cruise missiles, targeting multiple regions in the south, east, and north of the country, during the predawn hours on Monday.
In Odesa region, drone strikes caused fires and damaged private homes. According to the State Emergency Service, a residential building in Odesa district was destroyed in the area of 100 square meters, followed by a fire, and rescuers quickly extinguished the fire.
In Zaporizhzhia district, two people were injured — a 60-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man.
In Khmelnytskyi region, drones hit homes and businesses, although no civilian casualties were reported, according to regional head Serhiy Tyurin.
“Shortly after midnight, the enemy struck the village of Yurkivka, hitting a private house. The building was destroyed, and the blast wave damaged nearby homes and cars,” the regional governor reported.
Kyiv came under another drone attack, with the air raid alert lasting six hours. In the capital region, the first explosions occured around 1 a.m. due to air defense engaging enemy drones. More blasts were heard around 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., Kyiv Post correspondents reported.
The Dniprovskyi district of the capital sustained damage. Windows were shattered in a residential building, and drone debris fell on the territory of a garage cooperative and a recreational facility. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.In Kharkiv, over ten explosions were heard during a drone attack.
At around 4 a.m., Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched Kh-101/555 cruise missiles at Ukraine, with the main target being the area near the city of Starokostiantyniv in Khmelnytskyi region.
Additionally, Dnipropetrovsk region was again under fire overnight. Russian forces attacked with various types of weapons. A fire broke out in Kamianske district but was quickly extinguished.
According to Governor Serhiy Lysak, Russian troops shelled the Nikopol district with Grad MLRS, artillery, in addition to bombardment by drones. The city of Nikopol and the Marhanets community were hit, resulting in damage to residential buildings and cars. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
