As of May 31, Russia has lost 987,330 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,250 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The figures are approximate estimations and include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries.
Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far
The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:
- 22,652 armored fighting vehicles (including five over the past day)
- 50,198 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 109 over the past day)
- 28,475 artillery systems (including 54 over the past day)
- 38,215 drones (including 145 over the past day)
- 10,867 tanks (including two over the past day)
- 1,400 multiple launch rocket systems (including two over the past day)
- 1,173 anti-aircraft systems (including one over the past day)
- 372 airplanes
- 336 helicopters
- 28 ships and boats
- one submarine
The General Staff said it recorded 173 clashes across the front on Friday, May 30.
