Ukraine plans to start sharing its military technologies with “partner countries in Europe and beyond,” as well as establishing production lines for drones, missiles, and artillery abroad, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ukraine launched a program by which it plans to sign agreements to begin exporting weapons technology, president Zelensky told journalists at a press briefing on Saturday.
“We have launched the Build with Ukraine program, and in the summer we will sign relevant agreements to begin exporting our technologies abroad aimed at opening production lines in European countries and perhaps, not only with those countries that help us, that finance the production of drones and start financing the production of missiles in Ukraine,” the president said.Zelensky said the long-awaited exports could include “drones of various types, missiles and, possibly, artillery,” Liga reported. He also stated that agreements had already been established with Denmark, Norway, Germany, Lithuania and “possibly” the UK.
Zelensky also cautioned that none of the technology should fall into the hands of Russia or its allies, citing this as a major export risk for Ukraine’s arms industry.
“It is clear that the technologies cannot go to the Russians, and, accordingly, we will not work with countries that sympathize with the Russian Federation. During the war, we plan to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with all of this,” he said.
The President also stated that in 2025, Ukraine achieved record levels of financing for its defense industry. “This year, we found $43 billion for the defense industry. This is money that goes to support the Ukrainian defense industry, this is financing our defense industry,” Zelensky said.
