Bohdan Nahaylo, Editor-in-Chief of the Kyiv Post, who has just returned from Russian-bombed Odesa, said it is ironic that most Ukrainians fighting on the front lines are Russian-speaking, and that many ethnic Russians consider themselves Ukrainian patriots fighting against Russia.
The so-called “special operation” was initially intended to protect supposed Russian-speaking victims in eastern Ukraine, yet they are the ones who most often die from Russian bombs. The expert stressed that Russia will never agree to sit down at the negotiating table. At this stage, it is not ready and must be forced to do so.
