Activities of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation: Supporting Veterans, Humanitarian Projects, and Hospitals

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation implements projects in the fields of veteran support, assistance to hospitals, and direct aid for those affected by the war. Key areas include the development of prosthetics, medical support, and international humanitarian initiatives.

Andrii Matiukha Foundation Joined the “Ye-Protez” Project

One of the main initiatives is the “Ye-Protez” project, which combines consultations with specialists, prosthesis selection, financing, and rehabilitation. Users can find a clinic, receive advice, and join support programs.

In 2024, a pilot version of the project was created, featuring a knowledge base, a website, and a Telegram bot. Later, the project received support from the Andrii Matiukha Foundation, which allowed it to scale up. The launch of an application with access to government services and partner programs is planned. An AI system has been integrated into the chatbot to assist with communication.

“The system must continue to operate even after the war ends,” the foundation emphasizes.

The goal is to engage at least 5,000 users, half of whom will receive full support.

“Protecting Ukrenergo Technicians”: An Initiative Supported by the Andrii Matiukha Foundation

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation partnered with the initiative “First Aid Skills for Energy Workers”, which involves conducting 75 training sessions for 1,500 Ukrenergo employees. Participants learn to apply tourniquets, stop bleeding, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and assess the condition of the injured.

In wartime conditions, this program is critically important. Over 63,000 energy facilities have been damaged, more than 160 employees have died, and over 300 were injured.

Modern Tools for a Children’s Hospital

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation contributed to equipping the emergency surgery department of Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital with Ligasure Mariland and Ligasure Exact devices. This enabled complex laparoscopic and open surgeries. Doctors have already performed over 60 procedures.

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation also supported the hospital with the Thompson system for open surgeries. This gives medical staff access to modern technologies to:

  • Perform complex pediatric surgeries;
  • Reduce the trauma of operations;
  • Shorten patient recovery time.

Over 100 surgeries have already been performed using this system, and doctors recognize it as an essential tool in daily practice.

Sports Auction to Support Children’s Rehabilitation

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation supported the charity auction “Buy a Lot”, organized by partners from the sports and media community. The funds raised will be used to build an inclusive sports playground in Zhytomyr at the rehabilitation center.

“Combining sports and charity creates additional benefits for society,” emphasizes Andrii Matiukha.

Origami for Ukraine Art Project to Support the Military

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation participated in the cultural initiative Origami for Ukraine, which decorated the facade of the Kyiv Museum in 2025. The installation of 5,000 metallic birds was created by a Belgian designer in collaboration with Ukrainian schoolchildren.

The project has already raised over €50,000 for a military rehabilitation center. “Art can become an effective tool for providing assistance,” the foundation notes.

Systematic Approach and Long-Term Perspectives of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation’s Work

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation implements comprehensive programs in medicine, social support, culture, and international partnerships. Its projects aim to create long-lasting change and develop new approaches to aid.

“Assistance should be the foundation for the future. The Foundation’s task is to act systematically and work with a long-term perspective,” emphasizes Andrii Matiukha.
