A police officer was killed as a result of an airstrike on Izium on December 20.
This was reported on Telegram by the Kharkiv Regional Police, according to Ukrinform.
“As a result of the shelling, a 47-year-old man and his 42-year-old wife, who was a police officer, were killed. A 64-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction and was provided with medical assistance,” the statement said.
It is noted that on December 20 at around 15:40., Russian forces struck the town of Izium with guided aerial bombs.
The attack damaged the grounds of a non-operational industrial facility, a café building, an apartment building, and civilian vehicles. A private residential house was completely destroyed.
Investigative and operational teams, explosives experts, and other specialized services are working at the scene. Police officers are conducting inspections, documenting the consequences of the attack, and collecting evidence.
Information on this incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, police added.

A civilian infrastructure facility was damaged in Ukraine’s Rivne region as a result of a Russian attack.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Koval.
“As a result of the enemy’s aerial attack, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged. There is no fire. One of the employees sustained a minor injury. Medical assistance was provided to him at the scene,” the statement said.
Representatives of the security and defense forces, as well as other services, are working at the site.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces attacked two districts of Mykolaiv region, leaving one person injured.
