Russian Attacks in Donetsk, Kharkiv Regions Kill 1 Civilian, Wound at Least a Dozen

Russian air force pilots reportedly killed one resident and wounded four in the Donetsk region on Dec. 28, while Russian troops struck four settlements using drones in the Kharkiv region.

Russian air force pilots killed one resident of Sloviansk on Dec, 28, and wounded four others using guided aerial bombs, according to a report from the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, while in the Kharkiv region, Russian troops used UAVs to hit four settlements, wounding three more.

The aerial attack on Sloviansk was reported by Vadym Filashkin, the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

According to him, Russians struck Sloviansk with guided aerial bombs, killing one person and wounding four.

Filashkin also reported that five more people in the region were wounded during the day.

The total number of Russian victims in the Donetsk region (3,777 dead and 8,635 wounded) does not include victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Additionally, over the past day, Russian troops struck four settlements in the Kharkiv region, wounding three people.

Oleh Syniehubov, the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported the attacks on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The report says:

“A 73-year-old woman was injured in the village of Hroza in the Shevchenkove community, a 54-year-old woman was wounded in the village of Zolochiv, and a 73-year-old man was injured in the village of Novoplatonivka in the Borova community.

“Medical personnel also provided assistance to a 70-year-old woman who was injured on Dec. 20 as a result of shelling in Kupiansk.”

The Russian troops reportedly used one Lancet-type UAV, one Molniya-type UAV, and two FPV drones in the four attacks in the Kharkiv region.

Ukrinform wrote that two private houses and a farm building were damaged in Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, and a car was damaged in Hroza, Kupiansk district.

The report noted that the Lozova transit evacuation point took in another 24 people during the day; with the current tally of 31 people present, this brings the total to 15,895 people who have been registered since the point began operating.

Additionally, on Dec. 27, Russian troops struck six settlements in the Kharkiv region, wounding four, according to Ukrinform.
