Nova Poshta (known as Nova Post outside Ukraine), Ukraine’s leading private parcel delivery company, launched operations through a partnership with the global logistics giant UPS, the company stated on Facebook, Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The United States has become the 17th country where Nova Poshta sends parcels from Ukraine.
According to the post on Facebook, the new service from the US allows for the delivery of documents and various goods, including electronics, small household appliances, and cosmetic products such as nail polish and hair dye. Customers can also send food products – up to 10 kilograms (~22 pounds) – used clothing, toys, and household chemicals with clear labels.
However, strictly prohibited items include weapons, flammable substances, pressurized canisters (including deodorants), jewelry, medications, and art objects such as icons or antique books.
The delivery time from the US to Ukraine starts from seven days. Pricing begins at $25 for a 1-kilogram (~2.2 pound)parcel and document, while a maximum-weight parcel of 30 kilograms (~66 pounds) costs $200.
Nova Post Group has been entering global markets since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The company has already established a presence in Poland, Germany, Moldova, Lithuania, Czechia, Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, France, Great Britain, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, and Slovakia.
Despite this international growth, the company continues to face severe challenges in Ukraine: in January, a Russian missile strike targeted Nova Poshta’s innovation terminal in Kharkiv, killing four employees and almost completely destroying the facility.
