1 Killed, 7 Wounded After Drone Hits Moving Train in Dnipropetrovsk Region

The attack targeted a commuter train in motion in the Kryvyi Rih district, with emergency crews evacuating passengers and transporting the wounded to hospital.

One person was killed and seven others injured after a Russian drone struck a moving commuter train in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region on Monday, March 2, officials said.

The attack hit one of the train’s carriages while it was moving, according to Vice Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba, who posted the update on Telegram.

The train crew immediately stopped the train, and passengers were evacuated. First aid was provided at the scene.

Emergency responders, railway workers and a paramedic from nearby stations and depots arrived shortly after the attack, Kuleba said.

Wounded passengers were hospitalized for further medical treatment. Authorities are organizing continuing transportation to take passengers to their destinations.
