President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had planned to show US President Donald Trump a real-time battlefield monitoring system on an iPad during the Munich Security Conference, but Trump did not attend the event, according to a new report.
Financial Times correspondent Christopher Miller wrote on X on Tuesday, March 17, that Zelensky shared the details in an interview conducted last month.
“I honestly wanted to give it to Trump... in Munich,” Zelensky said, according to Miller.
Zelensky said the device displays real-time data on missile and drone attacks, intercepts, and battlefield developments, including the cost of defending each square kilometer of Ukrainian territory.
Real-time battlefield monitoring system
Zelensky described the system as a tool that allows Ukrainian leadership and military commanders to track the situation on the front line and monitor attacks across the country in real time.
In a speech to the UK Parliament on Tuesday, Zelensky said similar systems are already used by Ukraine’s leadership, including the prime minister, defense minister and senior military officials.
The system allows users to monitor air and maritime strikes, as well as long-range attacks on Russian targets, he said.
He also said drones account for about 90% of Russian losses on the battlefield, highlighting the growing importance of drone warfare.
