A British Soldier Who Chose Ukraine – And Stayed

He came as a volunteer. He left as a Ukrainian. ‘Snow’ talks combat, loss, and why – after everything – he’s going back in.

“Snow” is a British soldier who came to Ukraine in 2023 and never went home.

He served in the 3rd Assault Brigade, carried out special operations missions across the front, and lost his leg to a drone while returning from a position check.

He was awarded the Presidential Medal for the Defense of Ukraine, received Ukrainian citizenship, and is married to a Ukrainian woman. He plans to return to active duty as an officer.

This is his story – filmed at his apartment in Kyiv and at the prosthetics center where he learned to walk again.
