Russian forces struck Dnipro during a massive combined attack overnight on Saturday, hitting a residential apartment building and an industrial infrastructure facility, Ukrainian officials said.
Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said several fires broke out and homes were damaged.
Four people were injured in the attack, including three women aged 41, 44 and 58, and a 41-year-old man, Hanzha said. All were hospitalized in moderate condition.
A four-story residential building was partially destroyed, while damage to the industrial facility was still being assessed.
Early Saturday, as residents were sleeping, Russian drones and missiles struck Dnipro, sparking fires and damaging homes.
“The enemy is attacking Dnipro. Several fires have broken out. Houses have been damaged,” Hanzha wrote on Telegram.
A Ukrinform correspondent reported a series of powerful explosions in the city.
Ukraine’s Air Force also warned of a missile and drone attack on Dnipro.
