Russian drones struck energy infrastructure facilities in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv overnight, according to regional officials.
The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, said on Telegram that the city had once again come under attack by Russian-made Shahed drones targeting critical energy infrastructure.
“Mykolaiv. Energy infrastructure is again under attack by Shahed drones. As of now, there are no casualties,” Kim wrote.
No further details were immediately available regarding the extent of the damage or possible disruptions to electricity supplies.
The attack on Mykolaiv came as Russia launched another large-scale drone assault across Ukraine overnight. Earlier, authorities in the western city of Ternopil reported that more than 50 Shahed drones targeted the region, with over 20 exploding. Officials said at least 12 people were injured in the strikes.
Russia has repeatedly targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since the start of its full-scale invasion, aiming to disrupt power and heating supplies, particularly during periods of high energy demand.
