Russian forces launched 185 combat clashes against Ukrainian positions over a 24-hour period ending at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported the attacks in its daily operational update, detailing one missile strike involving 11 missiles, 58 airstrikes using 208 guided aerial bombs (KABs), 6,770 kamikaze drones, and 2,458 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas.
Pokrovsk axis sees heaviest combat
The Pokrovsk axis bore the brunt of Tuesday’s fighting, with Russian forces launching 22 attacks as they attempted to advance near the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novomykolaivka.
The AFU reported preliminarily eliminating 38 occupying troops and wounding 16 others in the area, while destroying four vehicles, a drone command post, and 22 personnel shelters.
The AFU also damaged four artillery systems, 10 additional vehicles, an electronic warfare system, and 118 shelters.
According to the General Staff, 373 drones of various types were also downed or suppressed.
Kostiantynivka axis under sustained pressure
The AFU repelled 34 Russian assaults on the Kostiantynivka axis, with fighting concentrated near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, and Illinivka, as well as toward Dovha Balka, Stepanivka, Toretske, Novyi Donbas, and Kucheriv Yar.
Three clashes were underway at the time of the report.
Lyman and Sloviansk axes active as well
According to the General Staff, the AFU fended off 17 attempted Russian advances on the Lyman axis near Karpivka, Zarichne, and Dibrova, with four engagements still underway.
On the Sloviansk axis, eight attempts to advance were stopped near Riznykivka, Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Kalenyky, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, with one clash continuing at the time of the report.
Southern Sloboda and Kupiansk axes
Along the Southern Sloboda axis, Russian forces attempted six assaults near Lyman and Staritsa, and toward Okhrimivka and Vodiane.
Two clashes were ongoing at the time of the report.
On the Kupiansk axis, the AFU repelled nine attacks near Zahryzove and toward Radkivka and Petropavlivka, with one engagement reportedly still active.
Limited activity on other fronts
No offensive attempts were made on the Kramatorsk, Orikhiv, or Prydniprovsk axes.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out a single attack toward Ternove on the Oleksandrivka axis, while the AFU repelled five additional attacks on the Huliaipole axis near Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, and Huliaipilske.
No significant changes were reported along other sections of the front.
