Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the federal state-owned enterprise Kombinat Kamensky in Russia’s Rostov region overnight on Aug. 23-24, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Telegram.
“Overnight on Aug. 24, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the federal state-owned enterprise Kombinat Kamensky in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russian Federation. A fire was recorded at the facility,” the statement reads.
Kombinat Kamensky is part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and produces solid rocket propellant for ammunition used by Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, as well as for a number of missile systems and air-launched weapons, according to the General Staff.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed, officials said, adding that operations against key Russian military targets are continuing.
The strike follows an Aug. 22 attack by Ukrainian forces on fuel and lubricant storage tanks at the Yeysk oil loading complex in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
