AeroSvit has signed an agreement on cooperation with Amadeus, one of the leading providers of distribution technologies in the airline industry, for 10 years, until 2022, according to the air carrier's press service.
The document was signed on July 20, 2012.
According to the airline, the agreement will significantly expand the list of the instruments used, and improve the efficiency of all technological processes and the overall level of services provided to passengers and partners.
“The key point of the previous stage of cooperation between the companies was the transfer of the airline’s inventory system to the Amadeus Altea platform, and the introduction of a number of IT technologies,” reads a press release.
The implementation of the new long-term agreement foresees the development of the Amadeus e-Commerce technology and the connection of the Amadeus Ancillary Services module for booking additional services. This will allow passengers to be provided with services, and greatly expand the range of services sold both through the Web site and via agencies.
Using this technology, AeroSvit plans to implement a full version of the Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD).
Thus, AeroSvit intends to complete a transition to the EMD unified industry standard by the end of 2013, according to the plans of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on the development of the aviation industry.
