The debt of AeroSvit (Kyiv) to PJSC Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk oil
refinery, Poltava region) exceeds UAH 1 billion, an authorized
representative of the airline said at a meeting of the Economic Court of
Kyiv region in Kyiv on Wednesday.

According to him, at present the number of AeroSvit’s creditors is about 300.

At the same time, company property manager Leonid Talan failed to
provide information on whether the airline’s accounts at banks had been
unblocked or not.

He also found it difficult to name the debt of AeroSvit to leasing companies.

As reported, earlier the press service of the air carrier said that
the funds of AeroSvit on all accounts at Ukrainian banks were arrested
on January 22, 2013 according to a decision of the state executive
service of the chief justice department in Kyiv region, which the
airline claimed was adopted in conflict with the law.

According to the airline, this was done contrary to a number of legislative acts.

AeroSvit appealed to the law enforcement authorities and the National
Bank of Ukraine asking them to facilitate the immediate lifting of the
wrongful arrest.
