Since Apple unveiled the iPad in January 2010 almost every competitor tried to launch its own tablet PC.
Only Samsung has thus far managed to produce a decent rival. But, global online retail giant Amazon is now in the mix.
Last week MG Siegler, a member of the famous TechCrunch blog, reported that he had seen the prototype with his own eyes. According to Siegler, Amazon opted to use the power of its popular pocketbook brand.
Kindle pocketbooks have become an industry standard. Amazon hopes to repeat this success on the tablet market with a 7-inch touch screen running Google’s Android operating system. The Kindle tablet will hit the market in November.
It will be significantly cheaper than iPad, Siegler claims. His sources confirmed that Kindle tablet will cost only around $250.
The bad news for Ukraine? As usual, we won’t see official tablet sales here. If you want one soon and at an affordable price, buy it abroad.
