Ukraine had been working constantly to solve the problem of providing its market with domestic products for the last two years, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

“If you analyze the amount of construction over these [last two] years, including greenhouse complexes, refrigerators, vegetable and
fruit storage facilities and logistics centers, we can say that the
problem of providing our market with domestic products is being
gradually solved,” he told reporters after the opening of the DFAgro
greenhouse complex in Ternopil region on Friday.

Azarov said that the increase in domestic production is the key to price stability on the food market.

As reported, Group DF of Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash on
Friday commissioned the DFAgro high-tech greenhouse complex in the
village of Synkiv (Ternopil region). The complex will annually produce
4,000 tons of tomatoes, 1,550 tons of sweet peppers, and 350 tonnes
of cucumbers.
