There is currently no reason for the devaluation of the hryvnia, the spokesman for Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Vitaliy Lukianenko, has said.

“The government is in constant contact with the National Bank and
closely monitors the situation (in the currency market), keeps it under
control. There are no grounds for any exchange rate fluctuations,” he
told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

Lukianenko also stressed that there were no reason for prices of food and commodities to grow.
