You're reading: Cereal Ukraine’s net profit in third quarter soars by almost 18 times

The Cereal Ukraine group of companies, one of the leading cereal producers in Ukraine, saw 250,000 euros in net profit July through September 2014 against 14,000 euros in the same period last year. 

Its gross profit in the third quarter of 2014 grew by 1.8 times, to 1.42 million euros, while revenues climbed by 10.1%, to 7.17 million euros, Cyprus-based Cereal Planet PLC, the group’s holding company, reported on NewConnect.

Cereal Ukraine’s net profit January through September stood at EUR 277,000 against 669,000 euros for the same period of 2013. Its revenues increased by 1.4%, to 16.72 million euros, while gross profit rose by 32.4%, to 3.51 million euros.

Cereal Ukraine is one of the leaders in cereal production in Ukraine. The company produces products under the Olimp, Kashka-Vkusniashka and Vershyna Yakosti trademarks. Its enterprises produce 4,000-4,500 tonnes of cereal per year.

Cereal Ukraine’s assets include land plots of over seven hectares in the city of Kharkiv and in Kharkiv region, warehouses with a combined area up to 7,500 square meters, and a grain elevator with a storage capacity of 8,000 tonnes.
