Chervony Partyzan mine (DTEK Sverdlovantra c it LLC) has resumed the production of coal after a 50-day stoppage, the press service of DTEK has said.

According to its data, the whole staff of the company has returned to their work.

As of Sept. 3, miners achieved coal production of 1,345 tonnes per day, which is 17 percent of the average daily load at the mine before the outbreak of hostilities.

“The mine will gradually increase the volume of coal production,” DTEK said.

The press service noted that from July 10 Chervony Partyzan mine due to fighting ceased coal production not to risk the lives of more than 2,500 miners. The coal mining company was operating only on a life support regime – ventilating the workings and pumping water so as not to flood mining equipment.

In January-June 2014, Chervony Partyzan mine produced 1.181 million tonnes of coal. The mine produces more than a third of the total volume mined by DTEK Sverdlovantracit.
