The Energy Community, the European Union, and the World Bank have endorsed a draft law of Ukraine on the electricity market.

This was announced by head of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry’s department for European integration Mykhailo Bno-Airiian at a press conference in Kyiv on Nov. 11.

“We had been waiting for a letter from the World Bank and a letter of endorsement from the Energy Community and the European Union. This collective letter arrived just two days ago. Everything is ready. I think we will submit this bill to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine soon,” he said.

Secondary legislation on the speedy implementation of energy sector reform is being prepared simultaneously with work on the bill, he added.
