Exports of grain from Ukraine in November could reach 3.1-3.2 million tonnes, which is a record indicator for the current season, the director general of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC), Serhiy Stoyanov, has said.

The report of the confederation said that from November 1 to November 16, 2012 Ukraine supplied 1.8 million tonnes of grain to foreign markets, including 0.9 million tonnes of wheat, over 0.8 million tonnes of corn and around 0.1 million tonnes of barley.

The UAC said that since the start of the agricultural year (July 2012 – June 2013), exports of Ukrainian grain came to 10.3 million tonnes, including 5 million tonnes of wheat, 3.6 million tonnes of corn and 1.6 million tonnes of barley.

The confederation said that at present exporters are reducing shipments of grain.

“If the average shipment from November 5 to November 12 stood at 65,000 tones, from November 12 to November 16 it came to near 47,000 tonnes,” reads the report.

The UAC said that with the retaining of the pace of shipments Ukraine could exhaust its wheat exports potential by November 26, 2012.
