Ukraine's Poltava Mining (PGOK), the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, raised commercial iron ore pellet production 10.2% year-on-year in January-March to 2.551 million tonnes.

Iron ore concentrate production rose 10.6% to 3.143 million tonnes, an industry source told Interfax-Ukraine.

March output was 941,000 tonnes of pellets and 1.14 million tonnes of concentrate.

Ferrexpo is the FSU’s biggest iron ore pellet producer and exporter. The company’s main consumers are steelmakers in Austria, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and other European countries, as well as China, India, Japan and other Asian countries.
