You're reading: Infrastructure Ministry, Aviation Service issue 60 permits for flights to Ukraine’s airlines

The commission for the formation and implementation of state policy in air route operation, with the participation of representatives from the Infrastructure Ministry and the State Aviation Service, on May 31, 2013 decided to issue 60 certificates for route operation to Ukrainian airlines.

According to the ministry, Air Onix (Simferopol) was assigned to the
routes of Kyiv-Gyandzha, Simferopol-Hannover and Simferopol-Berlin. At
the same time, Air Onix was not issued permits for the Kyiv-Yerevan and
Simferopol-Yerevan flights.

UTair-Ukraine (Kyiv) got permits for the Donetsk-Larnaca,
Lviv-Naples, and Odesa-Larnaca routes. The company was not permitted to
fly on the following routes: Kyiv-Yerevan, Kyiv-Baku, Kyiv-Paris,
Donetsk-Baku, Donetsk-Yerevan, and Odesa-Yerevan.

Wizz Air Ukraine low-cost airline (Kyiv) got permits for flights on
the routes of Kyiv-Thessaloniki, Donetsk-Rome, Donetsk-Bergamo,
Donetsk-Memmingen, Lviv-Naples, and Lviv-Rome.

Dniproavia (Dnipropetrovsk) was assigned to the routes of
Kyiv-Moscow, Lviv-Warsaw, Lviv-Moscow, Dnipropetrovsk-Tel Aviv,
Dnipropetrovsk-Yerevan, and Dnipropetrovsk-Thessaloniki. The airline got
no permits for Donetsk-Yerevan, Simferopol-Yerevan, and
Dnipropetrovsk-Tivat.

The largest Ukrainian air carrier, Ukraine International Airlines
(UIA, Kyiv), received appointment to the routes of Kyiv-Heraklion,
Kyiv-Santorini, Kyiv-Rhodes, Kyiv-Burgas, Kyiv-Varna, Kyiv-Torino,
Kyiv-Cagliari, Kyiv-Catania, Kyiv-Bologna, Kyiv-Venice, Kyiv-Olbia,
Kyiv-Tenerife, Kyiv-Riga, Kyiv-Agadir, Lviv-Moscow, Simferopol-Kazan,
Simferopol-Syktyvkar, Simferopol-Lodz, Simferopol-Tashkent,
Dnipropetrovsk-Moscow, Kyiv-Ankara, Kyiv-Tallinn, Kyiv-Innsbruck, and
Kharkiv-Podgorica. The company received no permits for the Kyiv-Beirut,
Simferopol-Aktau, Simferopol-Atyrau and Kyiv-La Romana routes.

Windrose (Kyiv) was assigned to the routes of Kyiv-Sofia,
Kyiv-Barcelona, Kyiv-Tenerife, Kyiv-Palma de Mallorca, Donetsk-Barcelona
and Kharkiv-Barcelona. The company also got permits for the long-haul
routes of Kyiv-Colombo and Kyiv-Bangkok.

In addition, the commission decided to assign Aviatrans K air carrier
to the destinations of Kyiv-Athens, Kyiv-Thessaloniki, Lviv-Athens,
Odesa-Athens, Kharkiv-Athens, Lviv-Munich, Aero-Charter – to
Kyiv-Vilnius.

Khors (Kyiv) got permits for the lines of Kyiv-Thessaloniki, Odesa-Athens and Kharkiv-Athens.

The ministry states that permits were not issued on the routes, on
which Ukraine has exhausted its quota set by bilateral intergovernmental
agreements on air services.

“The air carriers should launch flights on most defined routes in summer or autumn this year,” said the ministry.
