Less-skilled professions in agriculture, trade and the servicing area will be of great demand on the labor market of Ukraine in 2015-2018, the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry has reported, referring to the medium-term forecast drawn up by the ministry.

“According to our calculations, less-skilled professions in agriculture, trade and the servicing area will be of great demand. Growth in demand on salespersons and demonstrators, blue-collar jobs, in particular, workers in the transport and construction areas and extraction of mineral resources will be seen. The need in drivers, workers who service mobile machinery and workers providing personal and guarding services will be seen,” the press service said, citing head of the social and humanitarian economic department at the ministry, Oleksandr Savenko.

The ministry said that the further development of the economy will require engineers, professionals in physics, mathematics and technical sciences. According to the forecast, the IT and telecom sphere will actively develop. Adaptation of Ukrainian enterprises to EU standards will cause a need in metal and machine-building professions.
