National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy and U.S. oil and gas company Halliburton have signed an agreement on the servicing of the Petro Hodovanets drilling rig.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the ceremony to mark the signing of the agreement was held in Kyiv on Thursday.

A Halliburton vice director and Naftogaz First Deputy Head Vadym Chuprun signed the agreement.

Chuprun said that the agreement foresees staff training, supply of equipment and materials, provision of services for construction of wells and management of the drilling project.

He said that the involvement of Halliburton would allow the drilling rig to be used in full.

He said that Naftogaz Ukrainy does not plan to sign other agreements with Halliburton
