Truskavets - Ovostar Union agro-industrial group of companies, one of the leading producers of eggs and egg products in Ukraine, is planning to start the supply of products to the European market after Sept. 29, 2014.
‘Now preliminary technical arrangements are in process. After September 29 we will begin first deliveries to Europe,’ Group CEO Borys Belikov told reporters.
He also added that the group plans to cooperate with the European offices of international companies Nestle, Kraft.
Belikov noted that the quota for the duty-free supply of Ukrainian egg products to the EU is insignificant – 300 tonnes per year.
‘Our company sells this amount per month,’ he said.
According to him, the main buyers of egg products in Europe are Britain and Germany.
Belikov noted that the EU market for Ukrainian poultry farmers is very promising, egg price in Europe are 15-20 percent higher compared to those in the world.
