Revenues and Duties Ministry of Ukraine has revised downwards the statistics of fuel exports (under code 2710).

According to recent data posted on the ministry’s Web site, in the first half of 2013, the country exported fuel worth $348.618 million.

Similar statistics from the State Customs Service (the legal successor of which is the Income and Tax Ministry) over the first four months of 2013 show that over the said period alone, Ukraine exported fuel worth $742.559 million, which is two times more than the ministry’s figure for the first six months of 2013.

First, the data on supplies to Belize were revised. The statistics of the Revenues and Duties Ministry over the first six months say that Ukraine exported fuel worth $92.704 million, while the statistics for the first four months said that the indicator was six times bigger, at $578.595 million.

For other destinations, the exports over the past two months all grew. The value of the fuel shipped by Ukraine to the British Virgin Islands grew from $95.69 million to $152.842 million, that to Cyprus – from $21.522 million to $22.116 million, and to other countries – from $46.753 million to $80.956 million.

As reported, code 2710 includes not only petrol and diesel fuel, but fuel oil, jet fuel, and a number of other specific products.
