Kharkiv will spend Hr 330 million on repairing roads in 2011, reads a posting on the Web site of Kharkiv City Council, with reference to First Deputy Kharkiv Mayor Oleksandr Kryvtsov.

"We’re also expecting to receive state financial aid of Hr 500 million for repairs to all roads in the city, as part of the state targeted program of the preparations for and holding the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine. These assets would give us the opportunity to overhaul roads in Kharkiv next spring," Kryvtsov said.

According to the information on the Web site, it is planned to repair roads located within a kilometer of the Metalist Stadium, as well as the roads that connect the stadium, the airport, the fan zone and the main entrances of the city in time for Euro 2012.
