The creation of the new Russian-Ukrainian medium-class transport warplane Antonov An-70 is financed less by Russia and Ukraine as it had been expected, board chairman of OJSC Motor Sich, Vyacheslav Bohuslaev said.

"The An-70 program is financed by the Russian Defense Ministry and Ukrainian budget. We receive orders, but the financing is small, it’s not as we expected," he told the press at a press conference in Zaporizhia.

He added that next year the situation with the financing would improve.

"Today a large military delegation is arriving to Kyiv from Russia. Organization measures and financial flowing are coming. Of course, An-70 would be added to armory of the Russian and Ukrainian defense ministries," Bohuslaev said.

He found it difficult to say when the first An-70 would be supplied.
