Real wages in Ukraine in November 2011 decreased by 0.2% compared to October 2011, and were up by 10.1% compared to November 2010, the State Statistics Service has reported.

Real wages increased in Kyiv region (15%), Kirovohrad region (12.9%), Vinnytsia region (12.6%), Volyn, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions (11.5%), Sumy region (11%), Odesa region (10.7%), Poltava region (10.6%), Zaporizhia region (10.4%), Kharkiv and Donetsk regions (10.3%), Mykolaiv region (10.1%), Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv region (10%), Ivano-Frankivsk region (9.9%), Chernivtsi region (9.6%), Ternopil region (8.7%), Kherson region (8.9%), Lviv region (8.6%), Zhytomyr region (8.4%), Luhansk region (7.8%), Zakarpattia region (7.2%) and Rivne region (4%).

The increase in real wages in November 2011 in Kyiv was 7.2%, in Sevastopol 5.2%, and in Crimea 8.1%.

The average wages of full-time employees in Ukraine in November 2011 fell by 0.1% compared to October 2011, and grew by 15.9% compared to November 2010, to Hr 2,727.

The highest wages were registered in Kyiv, where the average wage came to Hr 4,168 and the lowest in Ternopil region (Hr 2,001).

The average monthly salary in agriculture grew by 25.5% in November 2011 against the same period in 2010, in car sales and repairs by 25.2%, in the hotel and restaurant business by 23.3%, in construction by 21.6%, in the forestry sector by 19.8%, in transactions with real estate by 19.5%, in fishing by 17.1%, in industry by 16.4%, in state management by 15.5%, at transport and communications companies by 14%, in the financial activities sector by 12.8%, in the sphere of utility and individual services, culture and sports establishments by 12.8%, in education by 10.5% and in healthcare by 8.9%.
