You're reading: Two Cypriot companies could buy assets in Silhospprodukt

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) has permitted Swinerton Limited (Cyprus) to buy shares in CJSC Vasylkivkhliboprodukt and OJSC Rokytne sugar factory (both based Kyiv region), which are part of Silhospprodukt (Kyiv), the AMC says on Friday, Jan.5.

The AMC also allowed Austock Limited (Cyprus) to acquire shares in OJSC Bila Tserkva elevator (Kyiv region), which is also controlled by Silhospprodukt.

According to the report, this will give the Cypriot companies over 50% of the voting shares on the companies’ board.

Interfax-Ukraine failed to get comments on the deal.

Silhospprodukt agricultural company was founded in 1999. Its core business is grain, animal feed, fuel, and agricultural chemicals wholesaling. The board chairman and the only shareholder in the company is Yuriy Bondarchuk
