Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Director General of the Ukroboronprom State Concern Dmytro Salamatin to consider the issue of involving young experts in the work at the enterprises of the country's military and industrial complex.

The presidential press service reported on Wednesday that the president had given such an instruction at a meeting in Crimea with Ukroboronprom’s head.

Yanukovych stressed the need to arouse the interest of graduates in order to keep them working in Ukraine. However, he said that the average age of people working at the enterprises of the domestic defense industry was currently about 55 years.

Salamatin informed Yanukovych about the situation in the sector, in particular, about the technological re-equipment of the military and industrial complex.

In this regard, Yanukovych stressed the importance of boosting interaction between enterprises operating in the spheres of defense and science. The president ordered Salamatin to ensure that the latest national scientific developments are actively used in production.

Yanukovych and Salamatin also discussed the establishment of effective cooperation between the enterprises that are part of the state concern.

Yanukovych also ordered Salamatin to ensure a strict financial discipline at the enterprises operated by the concern.
