You're reading: Yanukovych: Outpatient clinics should be built by end of 2014

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that work on the construction of outpatient clinics of family practice should be completed by the end of 2014.

“We have an opportunity to complete [this work] this year or in 2014 to ensure that we face no problems in any villages,” the presidential press service quoted him as saying at a meeting with managers of Vinnytsia region on Tuesday.

Yanukovych also noted that the question of the construction of family-practice clinics could be resolved by the end of this year, but, in his opinion, it is unnecessary to rush, which would be to the detriment of the quality of medical services.

“We should not have reform for the sake of reform. There should be reform for the sake of people, for the sake of achieving a goal,” he said.
