Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko should immediately table in parliament a bill on the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, as there are a sufficient number of votes for it to pass, independent lawmaker Anatoliy Hrytsenko has said.

“There should be no delay. The party that I head, Civil Position, and other parliamentary parties, in particular, Batkivschyna, Svoboda, European Party, call on the president to immediately submit the agreement for ratification,” he said on the 112 Ukraine television channel on July 14.

He said that the Verkhovna Rada had the necessary, 226 votes for the ratification of the document.

“I do not doubt it. There are more than enough votes. If the president submits this document for ratification, it will be ratified immediately,” Hrytsenko said.
