Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will personally oversee the Ukrainian ministries and agencies' cooperation with the European Union.

“Today, I have held a meeting with ministers and deputy prime ministers supervising the implementation of our action plan on cooperation with the EU. This year’s program is very extensive and requires the coordination of the efforts of many departments and agencies. Therefore, as the prime minister, I will be in charge of this coordination, thus raising the solution of these issues at the highest governmental level,” the premier wrote on his Facebook page, while communicating with users on Friday.

Azarov said that this shows the authorities’ commitment and willingness to do whatever is necessary to ensure that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement be signed in 2013.

The prime minister also said that at Friday’s meeting they addressed the issues related to the talks with the WTO, and identified several compromise solutions to be discussed with European partners.
