The Association Agreement signed by Ukraine and the European Union will be ratified by Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada in Sept. 2014, according to Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly.

“The ratification won’t be postponed. This agreement will be definitely ratified by the end of September,” he said at a briefing on Aug. 19.

Chaly said that lawmakers must get engaged in promoting practical tools to implement this document, namely the national program for the implementation of the Association Agreement, and some of these actions should be supported by parliament.

“The parliament should become part of the implementation of the Association Agreement, rather than be engaged in simple talks about it on TV show,” Chaly said.

‘Therefore, such a bill is being drafted, it have been actually presented to European partners,” he added.

Chaly also noted that the issue of the terms of the ratification of the Agreement was raised simultaneously with the start of the parliament election campaign.
