The Ukrainian government is completing work on a national program for the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and the formation of an effective system of coordination of European integration, Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly has said at a meeting with an EU delegation led by Peter Balasz, the presidential press service has reported.

Chaly said that the implementation of socio-political and economic reforms, the fight against corruption and the improvement of the business and investment climate in Ukraine was a priority for the government and that the National Reform Council, a key purpose of which is overall coordination and aspiration of the reform process in Ukraine, had been created for this purpose.

“The Ukrainian side is ready to consider the possibility of maximum involvement of European experts in the work of the National Reform Council,” reads the report.

Head the EU Group of Support for Ukraine Peter Balazs said that the EU would support Ukraine in reforming vital spheres in the country.

“The European Union stands ready to support Ukraine in implementing the necessary reforms and strengthening its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said.

The sides also exchanged views on preparations for a future international donor conference on assistance to Ukraine, which is tentatively scheduled for November 2014.
