BRUSSELS – The European Union, Ukraine and Russia are continuing trilateral consultations on the application of the trade part of the association agreement between Kyiv and the EU.

“We are speaking with the Russian side. On July 7-8 the next meeting at the technical level will take place,” a high-ranking European diplomat told Interfax.

The diplomat said that neither the EU nor Ukraine is interested in reviewing the trade section of the associations agreement, and said that only technical issues are being discussed, in particular, customs cooperation, technical barriers in trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
