Brussels - A declaration on Kyiv's unchanged course for the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement could be the outcome of the upcoming EU-Ukraine summit, which is to be held in Brussels on February 25, Ukraine's representative to the European Union, Ambassador Kostiantyn Yeliseyev, has said.

“I hope that after the summit we will be able to declare that the course for the signing of the agreement remains unchanged and that the document will be signed as soon as the respective conditions are met,” he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Speaking about preparations for this event, the diplomat said that the main task was to ensure its success.

“The summit should give a significant impetus to a high-level political dialog and speed up the process of preparing the agreement for signature,” Yeliseyev said.

He noted that the sides were expected to hold “a dialog on all issues of the EU-Ukraine agenda, as well as on the situation in Ukraine and the EU.”
