MINSK - The fifth round of informal ministerial dialogues between member countries of the EU Eastern Partnership initiative will be held in Minsk on June 29, Belarusian Foreign Ministry press secretary Dmitry Mironchik has said.

“The event will consist of two segments: a debate between foreign ministers and a theme meeting dedicated to environmental issues in Eastern Partnership member countries,” Mironchik told reporters.

In his words, the agenda of the informal meeting highlights the current status and development prospects of Eastern Partnership in the context of its Riga summit held in May.

“The participants are also planned to exchange opinions on primary issues of the topical international agenda,” Mironchik said. He noted that the sides were not expected to adopt any final documents or statements.

EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn is supposed to participate in the event.
