Political issues should not influence the organization of sports events as a whole and football matches, in particular. Football should unite people, not estrange them, he said in Budapest.

The EFE agency said that Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban speaking at the FIFA congress organized in his country supported the idea.

"Football and other sports aimed at uniting people. It’s unlikely that boycott [of Euro 2012] will allow achieving the goal," he said.
