You're reading: Lost British football fan emerges in Kharkiv

A British football fan, who got lost in Ukraine on Monday, has emerged in Kharkiv, the online newspaper Ostrov has reported, citing the chief of the Donetsk government's public relations department, Maksym Rovinsky. The British football fan will arrive in Donetsk on Tuesday, he said.

Five British football fans earlier asked the Donetsk-2012 press
center to help find their lost companion. They said they arrived in
Donetsk by rail from Kharkiv on Monday morning.

They also said that their companion, David Ford, had not been seen
since the Portugal-Holland match was played in Kharkiv, and that the guy
had left his ID papers, mobile phone and cash with them.

They said they last saw Ford drunk at the Kharkiv stadium. A search was launched by Donetsk and Kharkiv police.

The lost Briton finally reemerged on the Skype and he said he had
enough cash to travel to Donetsk, a source in law enforcement services
told Interfax-Ukraine.
